Summercrisp
SUMMERCRISP – a variety of summer pear created in Minnesota, USA. The fruit ripen in the end of August-beginning of September, may be stored up to 5-6 weeks after picking. The skin is greenish, yellow when ripe, with redness on the side. The pulp is firm, crispy, juicy, sweet. The growth of the tree is average, it likes sunny areas and non-drying soil. Resistance to cold is sufficient, important property – resistance to bacterial scorch. The variety starts to bear fruit early, has a high yield, partly self-pollinated, but provides better results with other sufficiently early-blooming pears (Paten, Clap’s favorite, Komice).
