Tamaris

TAMARIS – a Russian cherry breed, the tree is small, 1.5 - 2 m of height, the crown is round, compact. Berries are rather large, approximately 5 g, dark red, have a refreshing taste, more sweet than sour. Fruits ripen in the second half of July, the variety is very fertile, tends to overload with harvest, thus pruning is necessary. The tree is cold-resistant, flowering late, good resistance to cherry leaf spots (cocomycosis). The breed is self-pollinating, but gives better harvest with Turgenevka, Zagarvysne.
