Gatis

 GATIS - a winter Latvian variety created in Dobele institute. Fruits are of average size, beautiful, dark red, the pulp is greenish, semi-sweet, moderately juicy, tasty, ripen in late September, stored till February. The variety starts to bear fruits early, fertile, resistant to cold and diseases, blossoms are resistant to spring frost. The tree is quite high, branching is moderate, branches tend to grow bare, thus have to be pruned.
