JOSTA – a variety bred in Germany, a first hybrid of a blackcurrant and a gooseberry, grows faster than blackcurrants and gooseberries, shoots do not have thorns. Blossoms are arranged in bunches, on average in three. Berries are almost black, size of an average gooseberry. The variety is resistant to the black mildew and the blackcurrant gall mite.
