PAULA – a new promising Latvian variety, created in Dobeles institute. Licensed. Fruits are yellow, large, 6 - 6.5 g, juicy, sweet, very tasty, the pulp is firm. Fruits ripen in late June – early July, hold well on branches. The tree is of average height, has good resistance to cold and diseases, the variety is fertile. It is open-pollinated, blooms moderately early, thus, many varieties of sweet cherries suit as pollinators (Ovstuzenka, Iputj, Jurgita, and etc.)
