Sweetheart

SWEETHEART – a Canadian, late, self-pollinated variety of sweet cherries (Van x Newstar). The berries are firm, big (8-10 g), heart-shaped, very tasty, juicy, sweet, have a strong flavour. The berries ripen in mid-July, may stay on the tree for long. The growth of the tree is quite fast, it requires pruning and shaping, has a very high yield, which may result is branches breaking under strain. It has good resistance to cold and diseases.
